WHAT
I’VE SEEN IN SHERI

I’ve
seen the love her child knows best.
The
true affection she displayed
While
on her lap her daughter laid.
Secure
beside her mother’s breast.
I’ve
seen the feelings, that she keeps buried,
Exposed
behind the twinkle in her eye
While
speaking of that quiet special guy
The
one she loves, the one she married.
I’ve
seen her worried and dismayed
I’ve
listened to her share her woe,
I’ve
seen her tears of sorrow flow,
I‘ve
held her hand and we have prayed
I’ve
seen the richness of her heart
I’ve
seen faith she tries to live
I’ve
seen the strength she has to give
I’ve
seen the love she can impart.
I’ve
seen the wounds she tries to bury,
I’ve
seen the fear she tries to hide.
I’ve
seen her tender, gentle side
I’ve
seen the hidden soul of Sheri.
