JONATHAN

Jonathan's
a little frog, swimming in a pond
Dreaming
dreams of somewhere, far away, beyond
Although
he's still a little guy, swimming with the fishes,
His
head is filled with greater things, hopes and plans and wishes.
Someday
he'll be a fireman, or cop, or movie star,
A
preacher or a missionary, in some land afar.
Perhaps
he'll be a teacher, perhaps an astronaut,
Or
he may write the perfect song, that cannot be forgot.
He
might become a lawyer or a judge that’s fair and wise,
Or
a chemist or a scientist who wins a Nobel Prize.
Perhaps
will be famous, perhaps he'll be ignored.
My
only prayer, is what he does, he'll do it for the Lord.
