FOR EMILY ON HER BIRTHDAY

I see you every Sunday
Sitting just across the aisle
You're a glorious example
Of our Lord's artistic style.

The least among your family,
You're the youngest Valovich
Still your worth to God is huge,
And in love you're very rich.

With every greeting whispered
There's a giggle and a smile,
Enticing me to linger
And to chat with you a while.

You're growing to perfection
Gaining harmony and pitch,
And with joy I am watching
As you seek your spiritual nitch.

Keep your eyes upon the Lord
Seek for wisdom without guile
Let Jesus always guide you
So with every finished trial,

God will look upon you, saying,
"There is nothing I would switch.
I am pleased that I've created
You, Miss Emily Valovich."
